Chaucer Group is a specialty (re)insurance group that underwrites and services business for brokers, coverholders and clients, accessing the market through Lloyd's of London and the company markets. The group is a member of China Re Group and is backed by its financial and operational resources. Its parent group carries a credit rating of A (excellent) from AM Best and A (strong) from S&P Global Ratings.

The group operates across a wide regulatory footprint. Its headquarters are in London, with offices in Copenhagen, Dublin, Manchester, Ipswich, Dubai, Singapore, Miami and Bermuda, and a presence spanning Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, North America and Australia. Chaucer has operated in Singapore for 20 years.
