InfraRed Capital Partners

Infrastructure asset manager investing in and developing essential assets across energy transition, digital infrastructure, transportation, utilities and social infrastructure, with US$13 billion of equity capital managed.

InfraRed Capital Partners is an international mid-market infrastructure asset manager that develops, constructs and commissions essential infrastructure assets. Founded in 1990 as Charterhouse Bank, acquired by HSBC in 2000 and rebranded as InfraRed following a management buy-out in 2011, the firm today manages US$13 billion of equity capital for investors worldwide. It has completed more than 350 infrastructure investments and employs more than 160 professionals across seven offices in London, Frankfurt, Madrid, New York, Miami, Sydney and Seoul. The firm is part of SLC Management, the institutional alternatives and traditional asset management business of Sun Life.

Governance and responsible investment are central to the firm's operating model. InfraRed signed the Principles for Responsible Investment in 2011 and has since held Triple A+ PRI review ratings. Its approach treats ESG factors as both sources of value and sources of risk, and its investment framework is designed to create lasting positive impact alongside financial returns, with an emphasis on supporting the communities in which it invests.

The firm invests through listed and private infrastructure funds, spanning core and value-add strategies. Sector coverage includes digital infrastructure, energy transition and renewables, social infrastructure, transportation and utilities. Beyond asset management, its technical work extends to the development, construction and commissioning of infrastructure assets, with particular focus on energy transition, digital infrastructure and utilities.
