Relief International is a humanitarian and development organisation delivering health and nutrition, education, economic and water, sanitation and hygiene services to vulnerable communities in fragile settings. The organisation works in 15 countries across Africa, Asia and the Middle East, among them Sudan, Afghanistan, Gaza and Myanmar, often in contexts where it is one of very few providers of assistance.
The alliance comprises three member entities - Relief International, Inc., Relief International-France and Relief International-Europe - which operate as a single team with a common purpose. Its workforce numbers approximately 7,000 staff and local volunteers, of whom 97% are local nationals. Programming spans health and nutrition, education, economic development and WASH, alongside climate-smart approaches, conflict-sensitive methods, evidence-based design, resilience building and safe and inclusive programming.
Delivery is partnership-based, working with local actors to reach those most in need and to support both immediate humanitarian response and long-term sustainable development. Further information is available at https://ri.org/.
