SubSea Craft
SubSea Craft is a UK maritime technology company developing naval platforms including the VICTA diver delivery unit, MARS unmanned surface vessel and CADDIS uncrewed aerial vehicle.
SubSea Craft is a United Kingdom-based advanced maritime technology company that undertakes the rapid research, development and delivery of next-generation maritime platforms and systems for naval and defence operations. It is privately funded and operates an integrated Design and Engineering Centre in Portsmouth, where design, prototyping, testing and production are conducted under one roof. The company also has a presence in Virginia Beach, Virginia, serving defence stakeholders and maritime industry partners within the AUKUS ecosystem.
Its portfolio comprises three complementary platforms. VICTA is a dual-domain Diver Delivery Unit capable of high-speed surface transit and rapid transition to underwater operation. MARS is a multi-role Unmanned Surface Vessel. CADDIS is a fully marinised Uncrewed Aerial Vehicle designed for launch from subsurface platforms. Technical domains span maritime technology, unmanned and uncrewed systems, diver delivery, subsurface platform launch systems and naval and defence systems engineering.
Development is organised around rapid iterative cycles of approximately 100 days, with end users engaged from the outset of each programme. The stated focus is on addressing critical capability gaps in modern naval and defence operations, and on expanding internationally through collaboration with US defence stakeholders and maritime partners.
