MANCHESTER AIRPORT PLC

Manchester Airports Group (MAG) owns and operates Manchester, London Stansted and East Midlands airports, plus the CAVU digital travel services business, serving 61.3m passengers in FY24.

MANCHESTER AIRPORT PLC is the trading entity behind Manchester Airports Group (MAG), the UK's largest airport group. Founded in 1938, when Manchester Airport opened as a modest airfield serving the North of England, the group now owns and operates three major airports: Manchester, London Stansted and East Midlands. In FY24 its airports handled 61.3 million passengers, served 58 airlines flying to 261 destinations, and contributed £10.6 billion to the UK economy. Roughly 70% of the UK population lives within a two-hour drive of a MAG airport.

Beyond airport operations, MAG runs CAVU, its digital travel services business. The group's activities span aviation infrastructure, airport operations, digital travel services, and decarbonisation and sustainability work, including commitments to airport and airline decarbonisation. Sustainability is described as sitting at the heart of the group's operations, alongside continued investment in infrastructure, innovation and its people.

Work is concentrated in the United Kingdom, across Manchester, London Stansted and the East Midlands. The group also reports a focus on community engagement, education and employment support in the regions it serves. Its stated aim is to make its airports and travel services the number one choice for travellers and airlines worldwide.
