The Guinness Partnership

One of England's largest affordable housing providers, owning and managing over 70,000 homes and delivering housing and care services to around 160,000 residents.

The Guinness Partnership is one of England's largest affordable housing providers, owning and managing more than 70,000 homes and serving around 160,000 residents. Founded in 1890 by philanthropist Sir Edward Cecil Guinness, the organisation has grown from a charitable trust into a modern housing association with approximately 3,000 colleagues, and has operated for more than 135 years.

The Guinness Partnership lets more than 70% of its homes at social or affordable rent levels, supporting residents from first steps on the property ladder through to homes to retire to. Alongside its affordable and social housing stock, it delivers comprehensive housing and care services across offices and communities in England, placing it within the regulated housing association and care services sectors.

The organisation's stated purpose, established at its founding, is to improve people's lives by providing high-quality homes and to build thriving communities - a mission it describes as remaining at the heart of the organisation today. It operates with the stated aim of being among the best service providers in the housing and care sectors, combining the scale and capability of a large organisation with what it characterises as the personal touch of a local landlord.
