Somerset Bridge Group

Somerset Bridge Group is a UK motor insurance specialist whose activities span underwriting, broking and claims handling, in addition to the sale of motor insurance products. The group operates through two consumer brands, GoSkippy and Vavista, and also provides customized fleet risk solutions to broker partners across the United Kingdom. Its operations cover the full insurance value chain, from risk selection through to claims settlement.

The business is of considerable scale. It has more than 500,000 live policies on its books and employs over 600 people. Both GoSkippy and Vavista offer 5-star rated products and services. Vavista additionally runs a sustainability initiative under which trees are planted for every car insurance policy sold; as of November 2025, more than 429,000 trees had been planted.

Somerset Bridge Group is owned by Arch Re, a diversified reinsurer with operations in major global insurance centres.
